Air passengers were left stranded in the morning of Thursday, May 26,
2016 as pilots started a strike action over unpaid salaries.
Meanwhile, the airline was said to have
continued selling tickets to passengers earlier hoping that the issues
would be resolved immediately, but later started making refunds when
they couldn’t resolve the issue immediately.
A
source at the Murtala Muhammed Airport, Lagos State airport who
preferred anonymity said: “The strike started this morning and
passengers that were supposed to travel this morning are stranded.”
Some passengers were said to have immediately booked alternative fights with other airlines as the crisis continues.
